A view of the Eastern side of the University of Texas tower.

A view of the Eastern side of the University of Texas tower.

A view of the Main Building through the spires of a fountain on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. This photograph was taken by Jim Epler at 10:59 AM on 7/31/2006 in the summer in Austin, TX near the East 23rd Street circle. It is cataloged under the terms cities, architecture, landmarks, cloudscapes and parks & fountains in this photography database.

This image was recorded on digital media using a Canon PowerShot SD200 camera with a lens stopped to f 10 and exposed at a speed of 1/250th of a second.

Photographer Comments: I don't think I was technically allowed to drive up 23rd street to this location, but I did it anyway so I could get this picture. I felt like people were looking at me with disdain so I quickly snapped it and got back in the car. I probably could have gotten a better shot if I had more time to set up the composition.

Additionally, search phrases or terms that people actively seeking pictures on the Internet related to this particular topic might include the words clock tower, main building, fountain, U of T, and Texas, so they are included on this details page as a way to improve the photograph's profile in searches and Web queries.
