Press corps truck as seen in Clinton's 2nd inauguration parade.

Press corps truck as seen in Clinton's 2nd inauguration parade.

A view of the press corps trucks in front of the presidential motorcade during Clinton's second inauguration parade in 1997. This photograph dated January 20, 1997 was taken by Jim Epler during the winter in Washington, DC at the corner of 15th and E Streets. It is cataloged under the terms people, cities, art, objects and documentary in this photography database.

The image was exposed on 35mm Kodak MAX 200 color film stock using a Nikon OneTouch 100 camera with a lens.

Photographer Comments: It was absolutely frigid when I snapped this photo. I like it, not only because of its historical merit and the pomp and circumstance surrounding the gaiety of the scene, but also because you can see the Department of the Treasury and the General Sherman equestrian sculpture in the background. It brings back those very cold winters in Washington; the bare trees, the long overcoats, and the the faintly colored blue skies.

Additionally, search phrases or terms that people actively seeking pictures on the Internet related to this particular topic might include the words General Sherman sculpture, inauguration, Washington DC, Treasury, white house press corps and Presidential parade, so they are included on this details page as a way to improve the photograph's profile in searches and Web queries.
